Dress Code
Welcome to our golf club, where we believe that dressing the part adds to the overall golfing experience. Our dress code is designed to ensure that everyone enjoys their time on the course while maintaining a respectful and traditional golfing atmosphere.
Respect and Tradition
Our dress code is about more than just attire; it’s a reflection of the respect we hold for the game of golf and its traditions. We believe that dressing appropriately enhances the golfing experience for everyone.
Please note that our dress code is in place to ensure a pleasant atmosphere for all members and guests. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain the spirit of golf both on and off the course. As such, the use of the on-site changing rooms is the only place to change attire. If you have any questions or need further clarification about our dress code, please don’t hesitate to contact our clubhouse staff. We look forward to seeing you on the fairways!
The code applies to both the Course and the Range.
On the Course/Range
When you’re out playing or practising, please adhere to the following dress code guidelines:
- Collared Shirts: We kindly request that all players wear collared shirts. Polo shirts are the perfect choice.
- Proper Bottoms: Opt for slacks, golf shorts, or skorts. Please avoid denim and cut-off shorts.
- Appropriate Footwear: Golf shoes with soft spikes or spikeless shoes are recommended to help maintain the course.
- Hats: Feel free to wear a golf hat for sun protection, but please remove any non-golf-related headwear while on the course.
- Please avoid Jeans, tee shirts, coveralls, cut-down shorts, cargo shorts, etc.
Ballroom and Dining Areas
Our clubhouse and dining areas provide a more relaxed environment, but we still appreciate a neat and presentable appearance:
- Casual Elegance: While a collared shirt isn’t mandatory indoors, we do ask that you maintain a tidy and presentable look.
- Footwear: Soft-soled shoes are appreciated to help preserve our clubhouse floors.
Special Events and Tournaments
For special events and tournaments, we may have specific dress code requirements, which will be communicated in advance. These occasions often provide an opportunity to dress up a bit more while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow golfers. Many tournaments offer a ‘best dressed’ prize!

Score Card
Welcome to our golf club’s scorecard section. Keeping track of your score is an integral part of the game, and here, we provide all the information you need to understand and use our score cards effectively.
The Basics
A golf scorecard is not just a piece of paper; it’s your guide through each round.
Here’s what you’ll find on our scorecards:
- Hole Numbers: Each hole on the course is numbered for easy reference.
- Yardage: The distance from the tee to the green for each hole.
- Par: The expected number of strokes it should take an experienced golfer to complete the hole.
- Handicap: A rating indicating the relative difficulty of each hole.
How to Use
Using a scorecard is straightforward:
- Tee Off: Start by teeing off on the first hole.
- Record Strokes: After each shot, jot down the number of strokes it took you to get the ball in the hole.
- Keep Score: Add up your strokes for each hole as you progress through the course.
- Compare to Par: Compare your total score to the par for the course to gauge your performance.
Etiquette
Maintaining proper scorecard etiquette is essential:
- Honesty: Accuracy matters. Record your strokes honestly; it’s all part of the game’s integrity.
- Keep Pace: Keep the game moving by filling in your scorecard efficiently but without rushing.
- Exchange Cards: In many cases, golfers exchange scorecards at the beginning of the round and keep each other’s score.
- Scorecard Details: Ensure your card has your name and the date you played. You may include your handicap and must have at least your gross scores.
- Verify Scores: At the end of the round, ensure that the scores are accurately recorded and signed by the player and marker.
- Submit Cards: You should try to submit a scorecard in the locations provided for ALL rounds of golf played, whether in tournaments, friendlies or practice. This is encouraged in order to assess your handicap as part of your contribution to the integrity of the game.
Analyzing Your Game
Your scorecard tells a story of your round. It can highlight areas for improvement and help you set goals for future games. Pay attention to trends, such as which holes give you the most trouble or where you consistently excel.
